Hello guys.

I've just managed to get my details back for the warhammer beta. I was addicted to WoW at the time and I just forgot that I was in the beta.

How's the game going so far? Is it populated? Is it optimized yet?

I'm downloading it from the War beta client and it seems to be taking a while, any mirrors anywhere?

there going into an open beta phase soon but its not really open to everyone there just calling it that because the nda will be dropped :rolleyes:

people who pre ordered the collectors edition are garunteed entry everyone else who isnt already in needs to get lucky.

i pre ordered ages ago :)
 
i lsot my details for my WAR closed beta and the security question i used was a silly one! i Fail at the internet!!
 
aye i signed basically as soon as there was a beta opt in and been a member of the mailing list for aaaaaaggggggggggeeeessssssss. still havnt got a invite :( and yet one of my mates signed up a couple months ago and within a month he got a beta inv lol
owell still i got my codes for open beta so il just wait have to wait a bit longer. Been looking forward to this game for a long time :D
 
Me and a mate signed up when you could first sign up, like on the day itself. My mate got invited to the closed beta about a week later, I still after 2 years or so never got an invite :/ Thankfully I got in through the guild beta, and also got my pre-order pack for open beta access which apparantly starts mid-late August :)
 
bah, been signed for beta for like 1+ years :(

Still - guessing that NDA will lift and open beta will start in a week or 2. Got my CE key ready :)
 
Luckily I got into the Beta too :)

Made massive strides IMO, and they really have listed to the testers in many areas, I'm quite impressed with how much better it is than the early beta.

Looking forward to the release, I really do think it could be a great game - my main concern is class balance...it'll be a tough one, especially as its very PvP focussed.
 
A few questions to those who are in BETA. Why isn't it possible to change graphical settings? And also I'm surprised the game only runs at 30-40FPS, the graphics don't even look that good. Is it because it's not optimized yet?

You cant change the graphical settings because its beta.

Yes its not optimized yet, additionally to that there are all manner of debuggers running.
 
Signed up for beta back in September 2005 I think, and never got in.
Still, got the CE though so not all bad. :)

Just want it released now! :D
 
A heavy slant towards PvP, hell if you wanted to, you can level from start to finish entirely via pvp and never fight any creatures at all. I wouldnt recommend it, but you could if you so wanted.

The game is centred around the capturing of zones, castles, battlefield objectives and ultimately smashing up the enemies capital cities.
