I have been playing Warhawk again lately but I am still wondering some things.

- Sometimes I can see a homing missile that hits the base, but how do you do that, is it a special pickup in the air?
- What can I do with the drops from a destroyed tank?
- What is the best way to dodge missiles in a Warhawk, boost or turning fast?

rp2000 is the Warhawk man, but i would say the homing missile's are probably the TOW pickup you get in the warhawk its camera guided by the warhawk pilot. It leaves them open for attack as they cant move when controlling missiles though. Also it could be the missles from the missle turret as they will also lock onto other turrets or even from the rocket launcher, but if they seem guided then it will be the TOW!
The little bundles left by people you kill either on foot or if they was in a vehicle are there weapons they had, they also give you some health. If you have full health and the same weapons/ammo they had then you wont be able to pick them up.
Best way to dodge missiles is to boost turn and chaff or try to get missile to hit something else like a mountain.

Turn 'pro' flight mode on (this lets you control your flight more). Avoiding missiles are difficult, but the best thing to do is to first get into the habit of pressing right on the dpad then L1 as soon as you see 'missile lock'. The best way to avoid missile impacts without chaff is to fly near geometry, such as mountains and chasms, and weave in and out of them. The missiles are generally as the crow flies.

Yup, best way to avoid missiles is to quickly tap 'right' on the d-pad and then L1. This is the chaff. But you should first try to shake it off by moving around cliffs and buildings. I'm not sure, but I think twirling around will improve your chances too.
You can also tap R2 twice to do an uber boost - makes you go uber fast :p

I didn't know that.

I disagree with the chaffs being second priority though, they have a far higher chance of saving your rear.

It depends really. If you're being chased by 3 or more normal missiles then definitely use the chaff straight away.
I'm not sure but I think the beeping gets louder as the missiles close in, so you can use this to judge if you should chaff or not.
Remember that while in the air, you'll be targeted more than once so you have to save the chaff for the right moments.

Try to get chaff pickups, and also repairs whenever you get hit.

Thanks for the tips, I think I have Pro filght mode already on and that I just need to practice more and use more chaff.

I have played some 11 hours and still not realized the bundles killed people leave behind actually give me the weapons they had :o
