Warm isn't it? Want a hydro cooler at a great price? Over £20 off!

Mine is winging it's way to me now, but in the mean time...

Does the pump operate at a single speed? Is it just the fan speed that you control with the block unit on the H80?

How loud is the pump on these?

I have a very quite system using a Silverstone Evolution case with the 3 x 180mm fans running at just 5v. My HDD's are 5400k Samsung Eco greens that spin near silent.

How would pump acoustics be in relation to above?

Edit:

Also would the radiator fit my Silverstone Evolution case below. Obviously I would fit in the top 120mm fan position.

So, if I'm reading it right, it will perform the same as the H80 with the fans set to 'high' as there is no speed controller, so they will automatically default to the max speed? Stick a second fan and it'll be even cooler?

If it works like the H60 then you connect the pump to a case fan port set to max and connect the rad fans to the CPU fan port, so fan speeds increase with temp (I assume you may need a splitter if using two fans, can't remember if one was included in the kit). That is how I have mine set up (Rad fans are intake) and it works pretty well (59 degrees at 4.1Ghz running prime) (before this heat wave anyway ).

Cooling-wise, if you can get away with it, it looks like you would be better off sticking the rad on one of the bottom fans (assuming those are intake, as would be logical given the filters on them) as the concensus is the most efficient cpu cooling from these units comes from having them mounted on an intake fan.

Unfortunately I can't speak for the noise as mine doesn't arrive until tomorrow.

Will these be on sale tommorow still? Am on the verge of buying one, but wanted to see peoples opinions once theirs arrives.

Same here. I'm really leaning towards getting it, will probably end up caving in tomorrow evening. And if I start having massive regrets/the reviews from people here aren't as great, then OcUK have their awesome 14 days return policy! Hope I won't have to use that though, can't really go wrong with this offer.

Hmmm, really tempted to give this a try, only caveats being not sure how well it'd perform with my case fans and I don't really want to increase the noise in my machine much.

Any tried this going from a Gelid Tranquilo?

Noise-wise you're probably going to see an increase if you use a push-pull configuration compared to the single fan on the tranquillo. There are plenty of fans that are near silent though if you're willing to pay a bit of a premium.

The gentle typhoon's seem to get good feedback for the quiet end of the fan scale, but at £12 a pop it adds quite a bit to the cost of this unit.

Edit: Mine has just arrived and i'm going to be installing it shortly!

Well, I've got an Antec100, so right now I'd be using the rear case fan that comes with the PC, and perhaps setting up in push-pull at a later date. Judging by Frostytech's rating of the H80, this might be substantially better at load than my Tranquilo, which is a good, quiet cooler, but not a high performance cooler if that makes sense.
