Washed, but definitely needs lowering!

Looking good Tom, almost a very nice colour ;)

I've gone for the best of both worlds on the plates, GB rear, plain front :D

I prefer plain plates too, but it was an easy swap for me as the existing ones had some stupid car art pictures and a previous owner's name on :(.

I got my smoked repeaters from eBay, £10 plus postage and they seem decent quality, orange bulbs included :).

How are your alloy centre caps? Mine are really tatty, got some new ones but it looks like a wheel off job to fit them (not looked properly). I suppose my wheels need a proper clean anyway, along with fixing some nearside damage and covering my towbar up as well.

you definitly need the RSAP kit lowering and detango she'll look great then.

I just noticed how comes yours hasn't got the colour coded tailgate handle I thourght all mk2's from from late 99 early 2000 had it

no idea mate, but everything on the car was chrome (wheels, interior door handles, grill surround etc) so perhaps thats why it's not colour coded?

Ghia and Ghia X retained the chrome tailgate handle - only the lower models got a bodycoloured one.

Poverty spec ST200 here then, unless the saloon is different :(. I got 25mpg on a couple of short and around town trips, but I suppose 'town' driving here isn't as stop-start as in a proper built-up area.

You won't get mid 20's in town, thats about what I got from my 2.0 16v.

that's because you thrash the car everywhere  :p

I tend to get around 23mpg in towns, 21 ish if it is really stop start. Motorway i tend to get high 20s depending how i drive.....lead foot = 24mpg on motorways and very conservative = 33-34mpg

on the motorway in my 2.0 i always get above 40mpg unless its gridlock. Last few tanks i got ~450miles. Before that i drove to gatwick airport and back from stoke no probs on one tank, still had a weeks worth left. :p

But then i do drive like a grandad, i don't think the rev needle hase ever met the redline :( Very rarely do i go above 3k and mostly change around 2.5k :(

Maybe that's why you couldnt keep up :p You effectively have about 50bhp :p

Like I said, only the lower models got the body coloured surrounds. In terms of equipment level and interior specification, ST24 and ST200 are both inferior.
Cruise control and the multi-way adjustable driver's seat are the differences between a Ghia X and a ST200? I think the leather/heated front seats might only have been an option also.
