Washing Machine Help!

Got a bit of a problem with my Hotpoint 740 Washing Machine.

Checked online and apparently, the F-05 error that is showing means that the pressure switch (i assume for the water pump, as no water is pumped out) is stuck open....

Anyone know much about this or where I can go prodding a screwdriver?

When did the error happen? I.e. mid-cycle?

Yes mid cycle. The water goes in fine, the drum spins etc etc
Just when it came to pump the water out...

make sure non of your y-fronts are causing a blockage.

I have always used this forum in the past for very helpfull advice on washing machine error codes and what to check or where to get the spares from...

Go to the forum and search the code and appliance. I've had a similar error on my machine that turned out to be the pressure switch once and a kinked pressure line another.

its ok, ive sorted it - was elastic band round the pump./...

Could have been worse.

A mate got her old man round to fix her washing machine and it turned out to be a used condom around the pump.

Nice.
