Wasteland ARMA II Mos : Server Details

Marker, I'd like to thank you for all the work you've put into the server over the past couple of weeks, but I regret to say I'll no longer be playing on your server.

Been ruined by admin who clearly have a problem with me and my group, they break rules and then tell you to shut up when you mention it to them. They threaten to kick you if you do something that hurts their play style, and then kick you for absolutely nothing and don't give an explanation as to why.

If they have a problem with us, either put it behind them or talk to us about it rather than abusing their admin and making the server no longer fun.

Sort out the admin and you'll have a great server.
 
Yeah its a shame. I echo Jewish's sentiments down to the last letter.

I think if you can't handle a bit of banter, even though tonight it was a friendly laugh.. between an admin (afaik, The Betamax Bandit) no less then you should consider this game as it seems right up your street. As for "spamming the chat", LOL is all I gotta say.

I appreciate your work MarkeR you've done a great job and I'm no ass kisser, if you knew me its really not my style.. you've put a lot of effort into this and I've barely seen you on which is a huge shame but hopefully you get to play. You can probably imagine on a smaller scale how rocket feels with the requests in DayZ or larger.. we've been quite vocal with our suggestions and bug reports!

We had our fun times here, I'm only around for the next few weeks and then I'm off to the Army, I was hoping to spend that time in a game I really enjoy. Not quite sure what I'm going to play now, resisting buying another game.. plenty to complete but I enjoy the team play aspect of this game.

We never made anything personal with insults or the like, we certainly goaded people into firefights but never personally, just said come and get us basically.. thats what its about, how satisfying is it to kill us when you hate us so much? The server doesn't get as much traffic as it deserves and its so much more fun when you have a nemesis rather than saying "good show old boy" after every kill. You know I don't think we even said directly in global that "you suck" to anyone - I could be wrong though but pretty sure we didn't. Might have said "you missed" but thats it.

I almost feel like the majority of the whiners would be happy playing in a team against AI rather than the randomness that playing other players gives you. I don't get it, PvP is the main thing about this type of game and the banter is a standard accompaniment.

I cannot be bothered to read about this..it's dayz all over again. I'm not having it this time..

My 2 cents... I wouldn't have kicked you...

Come on guys,the friendly rivalry was made the game fun for us all.Lets not go down this road again.
Marker please consider putting the server back up.We will all play nice now i promise ;)
The other alternative is i`m going to have to go shopping with missus :eek:
 
Great...... Everyone else will now suffer because of this.

Been playing games for 20 years and never seen anything like this before! first the dayz server and now this I've spend 15 years playing CS and the only reason that game has lasted so long and done so well is because of the community's! People going on finding a sever they get on well with the people there with banter having a laugh and killing each other it's what it's all about.

As soon as it gets like it did at the end last night it isn't fun anymore and for marker to be putting all this time in and no one giving a turd obviously as its ended up with it being shut down a 2nd time.

People really need to lighten up its a game at the end of the day long as it doesn't get personal then Jesus just have fun.......

Anyway thanks for hosting and the work marker anyways!

WTH:confused: This is sad news indeed.

Please reconsider putting the server back up Marker, It's great playing on it and was nice to see a few regulars having a bit of banter.

You have a good server and it would be a shame to see all that time and effort you have put in go to waste, I for one really appreciate it.
 
Tis a shame indeed, was a great server, lots of people and lots of regulars.

Thanks Marker, probably the best server iv'e been on, just a shame to see end like this again :(
 
Big shame, I agree with the statements above. Some people are taking the "banter" far to serious and personal.

It's good for the server having two big groups battling in game, keeps things far more interesting imo. Maybe due to my background in 1.6 when the abuse was far, far worse. It's easy to laugh of the goading for what it is.

I wasn't on last night though, so maybe it was far worse than usual :)

This 100% please don't shut the server down Marker, it's enjoyed by a lot of us and we appreciate all the work you've put into it.
 
would be a shame to shut your server down marker .

one thing id suggest is only let the right people admin. if you cant take banter to play online gaming its part and parcel of gaming in mp
 
bah just found out about this when i couldnt find the server. Such a shame as you did have a great server.

Thanks for everything you did with this Marker the majority of us really appreciated your work.

Please take note though..

Any abusive language, such as including some one's Mother in a conversation etc. Will have a straight ban!!

I will be checking logs every night, yes I can read what everyone says, no matter what channel! If I would deem it offensive to me. Then straight ban!!

If there is a problem with the server.

Then trust me if I haven't announced myself on Rcon.. I will be able to restart it most times of the day!


Play nice, take the mickey if you want. Expect it back though..

Any rule breaking will be enforced with video only!

Glad to hear it's going back up Marker, best server and a good group that play on it.
