Wasteland ARMA II Mos : Server Details

A friend of ours been making custom T-Shirts for a while, my girlfriend must have told her I am constantly playing Wasteland. So I got this as an additional little birthday gift :D

Hello chaps :) Managed to get some play time last night, good wee session with Benny/Richie and Jason before he left for America(lucky *******)

Both me and Benny found little birds and then found a fully fuelled/repaired little bird with the guns on. 14 Hydras and 4000 mini gun rounds to play with :] Need a bit more practise as aiming is bloody difficult.

Game is still drawing me in but might have to go independent and work in small teams of 2/3 because the team killing is rife at the moment. Small part of it is tags not 100% working but there is definitely a lot of spite killings for vehicles/weapons or just idiots in general :/ Feel sorry for you Admins because it's pretty stressful when a team killing massacre kicks off!

Any idea why the punishment button isn't working at the moment?
 
Wow the 404 servers really crash too much for this mod whats the point if it crashes every 2 hours

Most likely because the clean up script is not working. Bodies should not stay for the whole duration of the map. Especially with 75 slots, the body count soon mounts up!

Server does get a bit choppy when it's been up for a while, last night I dropped down to 10fps if using the max distance view. Compare this to a static 30 when the server has been rebooted. Playing everything on Max settings.
 
I am talking about the non ocuk ones they seem to crash every 2 hours the ocuk ones are pretty much empty before about 5
 
Played for like an hour on a 404 server last week, cannot stand that they have noobified it with the hand of god, can just scan for enemies and the exact distance to objects/enemies :/ No idea why they are so popular :S

because its not meant to be run with 75 players 50 is max you should use for decentish play. but i guess it will stay higher ranked this way.

when ive played recently most desync orange red a lot of time

arma uses a lot of bandwith and 75 players is a lot.
 
Actually, the arma server has been designed with over 200 players in mind. It all depends on how it is set up.

Plus there were recent improvements for large player base servers in a recent beta..
 
Reintroduced the no shooting at gunstore rule. 2 shots fired within 200m removes your weapon. 3 shots gets you a kick back to the lobby.

Sitting on DaRT waiting for the tears.
 
I would say things improved significantly with the re-introduction of the no killing at gun stores script. By no means perfect but it was a hell of a lot safer and less camping now :)

Not sure if the new mission file caused this or not, strange bug with weapon caches. Looked like the duplication bug but slightly different, If you loaded the cache into the vehicle one was placed inside the vehicle but the cache also stayed in the exact spot from where it was picked up. You couldn't do this over and over but likewise it would never leave the original location until you drove off and unloaded the cache.

Couple of hackers on last night but Richie swiftly dealt with them :)

The distance of the no shooting rule can easily be modified if it needs to be. Will see how things go and what you guys say.

How you getting on with the scripting mate, is it a steep learning curve? :) Will you be on over the weekend?
