Hi have a few questions about water cooling. I have chosen the following things
mountainmods Extended Ascension
Koolance CPU 360 Rev1.2 CPU Waterblock Intel 1366, 1155, 1156, 775 AMD AM3, AM2+, AM2 : CPU-360
XSPC Dual Bay Reservoir with DDC Ultra 18W Pump
PrimoChill ICE Non-Conductive Coolant (32 oz.) - Blood Red
XSPC 7/16" ID - 5/8" OD (11-16mm) High Flex Tubing : Clear
Heavy Duty Hose Cutters
Plastic Funnel - Ideal for Watercooling
1000ml Squeezy Bottle for filling Watercooling Systems
But I have a few items left to pick one of them is the radiator 480mm Quad for 120mm Fans
So what the best radiator 480mm Quad for 120mm Fans???????
I also need to buy some fans for the radiator and case fans know I was hoping to buy some very low noise fans with led red so may I ask what’s the best radiator 120mm fans?????????
And what’s the best 120mm case fans???????????????
Also in this video
in 19.24
Tom says you need a paperclip instead of a buying a tool well I don’t like the idea of the paper clip so can some tell me what’s the name of the tool that he is talking about?
Also I heard if you get dust in your system that it would then be conductive is this true?
If this true then will this destroy my gear??????

get rid of the colour coolant and get some coloured tube.

480 RAD any of the big names to be honest would be fine. (hwlabs/Thermochill/feser)

fans are pretty much the muchness, for your RAD (if its a fatty) get some running about 1200 and they should be silent enough, then its just a case of getting some you like the look of. I always buy yate loons buts thats because im cheap.

I use something like a paper-clip to jump-start my PSU when testing it is incredibly easy, the tool is just a reverses 24pin socket with the green and black linked with a bit of wire..realy not worth paying for.

Dust in the system?? do you mean the liquid if so i wouldn't loose any sleep over it, my advice is to try and avoid spilling any liquid on you components if you do dust is the least of your worrys :)

Are the Antec TriCool Trilight LED Fan any good for case fans?
or
Enermax 120mm Apollish Vegas Case Fan Manual Speed / Light Control 7 Mode LED GREEN : UCAPV12A-G
Air Flow 33.3 ~ 84.6 CFM
Noise 16 dBA
Speed 800 ~ 2000 RPM (+/- 10%)
and What type of tubing size should I buy
1\2" ID - 3\4" OD (13-19mm) Tubing
1\2" ID - 5\8" OD (13-16mm) Tubing
7\16" ID - 5\8" OD (11-16mm) Tubing
3\8" ID - 5\8" OD (10-16mm) Tubing
3\8" ID - 1\2" OD (10-13mm) Tubing
5\16" ID - 7\16" OD (8mm-11mm) Tubing
5\16" ID - 3\8" OD (8mm-10mm) Tubing
and then what tpye Fluids & Dyes should I buy??
Are XSPC 480 RAD any good?

XSPC Dual Bay Reservoir with DDC Ultra 18W Pump isn't such a great idea, xspc tops seem to have killed quite a few ddc 3.25.

There was another thread before that showed a large amount of dead ddc's had a xspc top on.
I own a ddc 18w i would say it's a bit loud and runs quite hot, try and get a d5 with a res/pymp top combo you like.
The Koolance CPU 360 block is great but the ek EK Supreme HF is better a better block source
I would also recommend Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1150 RPM fans, brilliant static pressure, good cfm for the noise.

mmm there a competitor so better remove the links.

link to manufacturers website if you want though

Ok so here is my new list of parts
EK Supreme HF High Flow CPU Waterblock for Intel 1366, 1155, 1156, 775, AMD AM3, AM2+, AM2 : Full Nickel
XSPC Acrylic Dual 5.25” Reservoir for Laing D5
Laing D5 (Alphacool VPP655-T12) Variable Speed 12V Pump for 1/2" ID Tube : VPP655-T12
XSPC RX Series 480mm Quad Radiator : RX480
Mayhems 99.99% Silver Kill Coil
Mayhems Dye 10ml Dropper Bottle : Red
Mayhems X1 Premix Fluid for Water Cooling 1 Litre : Clear
XSPC 7/16" ID - 5/8" OD (11-16mm) High Flex Tubing : Clear
Heavy Duty Hose Cutters
Bitspower Sealing Plug for 1/2" ID (13mm) Tubing Silver : BP-WTP-C31
1/4" Thread Compression Fitting for 1/2" ID - 5/8" OD (13-16mm) Tubing : Silver
Plastic Funnel - Ideal for Watercooling
1000ml Squeezy Bottle for filling Watercooling Systems
OcUK Value PSU Bridging Connector (24 Pin)
Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Case Fan 1150 RPM : D1225C12B3AP-13
but can I ask how do the Mayhems 99.99% Silver Kill Coil work and where do I place it and how often do I need to change it?
so do you think they are any good and chages to be made?

Countdown to a holiday.......

Remove the competitor links or get a suspension. READ THE FORUM RULES.

Your fittings and pump are for 1/2" ID tubing, but you have 7/16". Some people say that tighter tubing helps it to stay on when using 1/2" barbs, but you're using compression fittings, so I'm not sure how well it will fit.

ok I am going to change it know thanks for letting me know I am noob at this lol
What size of tubing should I use then from this
1\2" ID - 3\4" OD (13-19mm) Tubing
1\2" ID - 5\8" OD (13-16mm) Tubing
7\16" ID - 5\8" OD (11-16mm) Tubing
3\8" ID - 5\8" OD (10-16mm) Tubing
3\8" ID - 1\2" OD (10-13mm) Tubing
5\16" ID - 7\16" OD (8mm-11mm) Tubing
5\16" ID - 3\8" OD (8mm-10mm) Tubing
but can I ask how do the Mayhems 99.99% Silver Kill Coil work and where do I place it and how often do I need to change it?

The list looks good apart from the fitting / tubing. To answer your questions though

The silver kill coil works as silver will stop anything growing in your water loop but shouldn't need changing. As for where to put, either put inside a peice of tubing or just sit it in your reservoir.

The tubing size doesn't really have much effect on the cooling abilities, the preferential sizes seem to be either 1/2" ID or 7/16" ID but I go for whichever has tubing you want (if certain colour or type etc) Also to note the thinner the tubing the easier it is to bend so depends what route your loop is going to take.

The bridging pin also, I see the point of it but not worth the money in my opinion. Just unbend a paperclip and connect the green wire on the 24pin connector to any of the black and will turn on so you can run your pump.

I personally like 1/2 3/4 tubing as its fat with a thick wall, ive found primochill tubing and fixings to be cheap and good quality.

I put the silver coil into the Res.
