who?

whats the specs and how much did it cost?

Montymole, really helpful chap :)

Specs are afaik, Danfoss Compressor, R402a gas (i think), Chilly1 Evaporator head, G-Froster control unit.

Other than that I dont know much more about it tbh, as I say I'm pretty new to all this :)

Looking forward to getting it all up and running now!

V nice Weescott ! Interested to see your results too :)

Mine also comes with a guarentee, so I have no worries there :)

I know 1 person that has been using a Mach 2 GT modded by Ian for a while with no problems. I had mine tuned for Quad core but it may be a while before I can put it to good use as I am in the middle of moving abroad. :(

Last time I looked it was 3.75GHZ

LOL

;)

My 6400 does that so with the 9x multi you should push higher if on water

:D

i don't spend my life on my pc and on these forums like you do.

shoot me for not updating my sig.

also my 6600 does 3.8 with 1.4v/45c load temps and won't die in the next few months unlike you're heatloading 6400

to be perfectly honest phase really isn't worth the hassle anymore with c2d you can hit sub 4ghz with water with really good temps if you have a nice chip, phase will get you only a couple hundred more mhz. it just doesn't scale as well as it used to in P4/A64 and earlier times.

between the cost and hassle to insulate and the compressor noise versus the quite of water etc it's more for e-penis, it's not like you will be breaking any world records with a phase box either.

i've had 2 phase boxes in the last few years and for AMD S939 sytems it was pretty cool and worth it as i had my 4000+ sitting at 3.6ghz orthos stable ..but with the clockability of c2d rigs phase it's really not needed....my e6600 @ 3.8 with pure quiet under water is bliss.

so with the negatives of phase out of the way sometimes you just need to smash that curiosity of what it's actually like so by all means go for it just don't expect it to be quite as great as it sounds.
you hit the nail right on the head. Water it is for me next, i too once had phase.

Getting:-

new head
regass
new lineset, captube and pipework runed for quad core load
generally tarted up a bit from my ghetto efforts

Thanks matey, cant wait to get it all installed, just waiting on some more dielectric grease and neoprene insulation and I'm set :D

Very nice guys :)

"DSHC" - Please (for the love of god) tell me that this hasn't become the latest trendy acronym...? :D

Weescott - where is the suction line heat exchanger (SLHX) on that unit?
