Also Virgin now fly direct to Male.
I reckon the house reef was the only let down compared to other places, because it was quite tidal when the tide went out it was awkward to do any decent snorkelling. Then I did some of the best Scuba diving out of the other places Ive been in the Maldives.
The place itself was excellent, really good food, plenty of choice and a good choice of beers with superb staff who genuinely couldn't do enough for you.
Also worth noting, one of our party cut his foot, which needed stitches. Doctor on site stitched it, gave him a tetanus shot and antibiotics/painkillers etc all included in the price, didn't even need to show any insurance etc
You must be back by nowThanks for that, we're going in a couple of weeks, can't wait!
Is there much in the way of coral cover on the reef? I've read mixed reviews, some say it's mostly dead and others that it's good. Maybe some people don't bother swimming out closer to the drop off? Do you have any room tips? We've asked for a (water) villa on the left hand side (sunset-ish) as far down the jetty as possible. I think I'm right in saying the left side of the jetty should be more sheltered from the wind now that the monsoon has turned?
