Hey Guys,

I have the kit below and I am looking at a watercooling my rig to actually quieten it and try and clock it higher.

Corsair 600T case
Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD4
Intel i7 2600k @4.2ghz but can go up to 4.7ghz on air

ATi 5850 but looking at a watercooled ATi 7970

Ideally need a thin rad for the top of the case so the original grill can go back on and then I guess a second rad at the bottom of the case.

It's extremely unlikely you will make it any quieter. Whatever number of fans you have now, you're probably going to at least double it, plus a pump. Unless you go passive, your system will be at least as noisy, and potentially quite a bit noisier.

I disagree my systems so much quieter. I just need to change the case fans.

I too disagree.

I had 6 fans in my TJ07 and to cool efficiently, they were eally loud. With 8 fans, i get better temps with my WC system as i can have them all on very low RPM's whilst still cooling very efficiently

my room is 27 Degrees ambient, I have temps of 29. And my fans, well what fans, you can't hear them. I'd watercool again, no doubt about it.

Well after doing some research I have come up the following for a fist stab at the parts list:

Rads
Hardware Labs Black Ice® GT Stealth Lite 240mm Dual Radiator
Phobya Xtreme 200mm Radiator

CPU Block
EK Supreme HF CPU Waterblock - Nickel Acetal

Pump
Laing D5 Vario Pump -T12 12V DC Pump
EK-D5 X-Top V2 Acetal G1/4" - Pump Top

Reservoir
EK Multioption Reservoir X2 250 Advanced

Don't bother with the GT stealth. EX rads are MUCH better.

Nickel acetal... Infidel!:p
I'd go for plexi, but only because I prefer the aesthetics.

I'd get an alpha cool top as they are cheaper and pretty much the same.

Would have to be one of these then for the top rad:

EK CoolStream Radiator XT 240 (120.2)

I figure there will be enough piping for people to gawk at when put a window in the case without the plexi :p

Purley huh? I am in coulsdon half the week and Devon the other half :D

Will update my list :)

Any experience with the Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm 1850 RPM? 21db should be pretty much silent on the top rad...

hi there

dont think you will get XSPC EX240 120mm Radiator up top......i would measure the gap you have at the top, between the main board and top of the case.......i would say a 30mm rad at most up top.....unless your going to modify the 600t........
