Watered down alcohol

The McDonalds etc coke is totally different :p

It's syrup mixed with water onsite.

What do you think coke in bottles is? Coca Cola manufacture the syrup and then it's sold off and bottled under license. Probably to a higher standard than in MacDonalds but the same idea. :p

Strongbow has never been supplied in barrels.

I hate to tell you this (living in a pub & all) ... strongbow can be supplied in barrels just like carling & all the others. ;)

It comes in kegs.

What do you think is at the other end of the tap/line? A wee man furiously opening cans and pouring them in the lines? :p

I think DavidMarq is just being a pedantic troll on this one. A barrel is technically 36 gallons whereas standard pub lager/cider comes in 11 gallon (50 litre) kegs.

That's because Strongbow is a chav's ****water. Drink a real cider.

Just noticed this, agreed, wetherspoons have westons ciders, and a few random ones, why would anyone drink strongbow over them?

well sorry for being skint *insert irksome rolleyes here*

When I can afford it, I love Aspalls draught. phwoar that stuff is delicious

Same with Guinness. Not a lot of people know that it comes across the water as a super concentrate in 30,000l tankers and is then diluted over here before barrelled or canned. From memory each tanker makes 800,000 pints of Guinness

This is why guinesss tastes different here than in Ireland as it's different water used.
