Waterproof Jacket

What's the EQ2.5 like heat/breathability wise? Loads of reviews on wiggle, seems like its very waterproof, reasonably roomy for underlayers, and not bad for breathing but not great.

Might go flashlight for extra visibility.

I tried 2 Altura jackets (Nevis II was one of them) and 4 DHB's (Commuter, Moxie, Flashlight and EQ2.5) before I settled on the EQ2.5. It was just the perfect combination for me - more breathable than all of the others with better rain protection than the Moxie and Flashlight. I originally kept the Commuter as it was for cold weather and heavy rain, only when it was lighter rain and much warmer did I go back to the EQ2.5. I also got the EQ2.5 for visibility after I got knocked off wearing the Commuter which was black (but very reflective).

Last winter as we didn't have loads of horrific wet days I didn't wear the Commuter, but if we do this winter it'll come out again. The EQ2.5 (as I mentioned before) was just perfect for me 80% of the time when I needed something. I've more recently got waterproof arm/leg/knee warmers along with a gilet so for changeable weather I'll wear/carry those rather than the jacket. It will just about go in a pocket but not easily, I do have a packable I hardly ever wear as it's just too 'boil in the bag'.

Castelli Muur first outing oday. Got it for £80 in the PBK sale. At first I thought it was a bit small but better to describe it as race fit (just wont be doing any chest expanding exercises) 2 hours in the pouring rain and I came back bone dry up top. Was a Zone 2 recovery ride so not properly testing the breathability. However quite pleased with it after that test.

Good choice and good blue, although the elasticated cuffs and lack of vents to regulate would annoy me, how have you found it on warmer days (like today)?
