Wayne Rooney - Keyboard Warrior

So any footballer wanting to register on Twitter or Facebook should be prohibited from doing so without supervision from their football club?

I'm all for players acting with more maturity in general, but people keep crossing basic lines as if these guys are some sort of commodity or surrender some basic rights by being professional footballers.

If they don't have the maturity to be on there then the club should stop them from registering. It's not like this is the first incident is it, I bet West Ham, Man U, Liverpool (at the time) all were considering banning it.

Why shouldn't players use twitter? It allows them to communicate directly with fans without media spin. This is just a mountain out of a molehill which people are jumping on as Rooney is something of a whipping boy at the moment but social networking and players engaging with fans is a good thing, considering the amount of abuse they get then the one's who do make the attempt to run it themselves rather than having a pr agency do it for them get my respect.

Wiat, so now the internet is out to get United too? Geez, we'd better add that to the list.

Things that Tom84 can clearly see hate United and want them to fail:
  • Other teams.
  • The FA
  • Referees
  • The internet.
  • atpbx

Anything else?

eh? Everyone acts like an idiot on the internet.

Hey hey hey, speak for yourself. I'm a witty, suave and urbane gentleman on the internet.

I'm glad a footballer has, for once, stood up to these warrior fans who claim they would do them harm.

I like the fact that Rooney is no-nonsense in all that he does, even if, occasionally, it gets him in trouble.

If I am not mistaken, Rooney could look after himself, given he is fairly well trained at boxing.

Anti-United because some people don't agree with you?

That's getting boring :p

Hang about is this or is this not a thread designed purely to bitch about Rooney? Yes is the answer matey and as such no thread bashing a United player would be complete without Rotty's usual post

Over the past couple of months all the SA has been about are threads about Fergie, threads about Rooney, christ even Carrick and Gibson got threads about them

Oh and cheets now I know why everyone has had enough of you ;)
