It says to do it on the 27th because they want to know who is in the property on that day, even if temporarily. Personally it happens that all the people who would even be likely to be visiting overnight on that day are out of the country so the chance of them being around to visit my place is negligible. As for the other questions, well I doubt that my house is going to suddenly grow any extra bedrooms in the next week
I had some time this weekend (due to taking Thursday and Friday off), I know that I haven't got any time for several weeks after this Friday (due to work) so I did it a bit early.

I've already filled mine in, my answers are not likely to change in a week. Two of the questions are likely to get filled in incorrectly so it really seems pointless answering them. The religion one is likely to get some inccurate results even if people intend to fill it in correctly. The one which asks you about which languagues you understand/speak/read/write is going to get incorrect answers. Asking people about English and Gaelic is fine but asking about Scots, a lot of people are going to tick that who don't actually know what it is (more than one person at my workplace has done this).

What would happen if someone doesn't fill it out?
I don't know about your area but in Edinburgh they will send somebody to chase you up, to ask why you haven't filled it out and if you require any help to do so. After that, I don't know what the following steps are.
While I agree that the form wasn't taxing, the point of my original post was to stress that some of these questions were OTT. In my view anyway, and I'm allowed to have an opinion aren't I?
My health? Who's staying at my house on the 27th of this month? How often I stay at my parents? Christ!

It only happens once every 10 years, so just fill it in and post it off, you have lost maybe half and hour of your life, its not like they are asking you to provide bone marrow samples and the big toe off your right foot is it.
So they capture everyone. You can get copies of the personal section online at any time, if there's a change of circumstances.
Got nothing to do with tax, again it's to see make up of residential buildings we have.H7. Type of house? Again, fair do's if they're collecting stats.
H9 & H10. How many rooms? How many bedrooms? Erm.. this isn't a council tax questionnaire. I am band A, thank you very much
well yeah, as that part is filled in by each individual, so they know who's responding.
See what peoples movements are or something, cant remember what exactly it asks you and if there are follow up questions to it.
So you dont think finding out about publics health to form policies on health care is a good thing, as well as benefits.

Again how can you make policys which may interfere with religion, without knowing the break up, also good for general stats.
it's not to track people, it's to know what % work in each sector and at what level. Very important to know for economic reason.
You can fill it in when ever, they gone over this point in eh news and other places. You just have to fill it in as if it was the 27th, most people will know where they are and if they have any guests. You can get extra copies of the personal section any time online as well.

I did like that one myself. I have filled in mine now but what happens if i decide to go home from uni on the day?
On the welsh forms, it asks if they can speak welsh. however all forms are scanned in the same way, so can't change the format, hence on ours that question is left blank.
