It could be, but it could also be that they know they have lots of part ex cars coming in due to the new reg cards out in September, after all some people actually think that is still relevant.
It was a local independent but the right sort of car for them ie full main dealer history, no bodywork issues etc. We have quite a few good independent dealers round here and only 1 wasn't interested but they tend to specialise in the very low mileage cars.
Its the first time I've seen signs like "cars for cash" outside local indi garages. One just down the road from me had no stock at all at one point during lockdown. They were desperate.
Still worth checking with a dealer if you are selling. Vauxhall paid us £500 more than WBAC this week. Straight sale with money in the bank on handover. Easiest sale ever.
