They do it in front of you usually plus they cannot legally sell it before its cleared so think about it logically are they really going to offer you something for your car then they cannot sell it to anyone else until the finance is cleared!Gents when selling on wbac and the like, how can the seller be certain that finance has been settled? Feels ripe for a “trust me bro” scam from my ropey looking winning dealer and my PCP has 38 grand on it so don’t want to take any chances.
This thread is nearly years old…Got another valuation on my car the price dropped 30% since the last valuation 3 months ago…. So clearly not in all cases.
Random follow up, I kept an eye on the dealer website for my car and by the time they'd sold it they almost certainly lost money. Some cars are quick flips, I would imagine that the Ibiza isn't hard to sell, just like any other smaller hatchback. How much did you pay for it, and how long ago?
Fair point, hadn't thought about that bit.V similar story to mine earlier in the thread. Assuming they are making their money from finance commission
Good point well made thats what I get for quickly replying on my phoneThis thread is nearly years old…
