WC-what liquid?

A condensing tumble drier will give you loads for free distilled water.
That what all the 'live steam' train guys use
And their copper tubes have tiny ID's so the water needs to partical free.

A dehumidifier will also work - but the water isn't bug free (so boil it first)

If you know a homeopathist - They may have a distiller.

Having said all that the differance in thermal performance between distilled and di-ionised is tiny.
Someone worked it out for me once - was 0.01c or something.

All water will get ions in it after a week in contact with metal
in a same metal loop this isn't an issue - but mixed metal loops need corrision inhibitors

And even the smallest internal block matrix isn't going to get gunked with calcum / Sodium from the 'hardest' tapwater.

Your two problems are bacteria and algae - or microscopic life

bacteria - feeding off salts, sugars and ions to making your water more acid is one problem.
The acid eats metal = more food = more bactiera + more acid etc).
It can also form long strings like algae

algae - plant life the uses light and nutrients to grow is the other, this then gums up your block pin matrix

A piece of silver or biocide will kill both.

Adding large particals (dyes) significanly reduce the thermal properties of the water
and they MAY drop out of suspension and clump together.

No, I think it already has. It's a learning curve, loads of people buy feser one once. Strip down the blocks, get a toothbrush out, and see how long it takes before you decide coloured tubing is the way to go.

yep i used it for my first build its ****e never again, i then used a colour bomb after a week the fluid was clear and the tube was red AVOID!!

Im using Nanoxia, ive got green tubing and ordered clear fluid, it came the same green as my tubing so i put it in anyway, seems to be holding its colour so far.

Ill drain it out in a few months and see what the blocks are like.

I was using de-ionised water before. I added a 120.1 rad to my loop (i5 @ 3.9Ghz and GTX 260 with a 120.2) and the nanoxia fluid and had a 10-11 degree drop in load temps, not sure how much of this was down to the water though.

I'm using Mayhems Ultra pure water , some PT Nuke and a Dye from Mayhems too. (keep an eye on this guys products, he's bringing out some really good stuff.

Mayhems does a whole complete range of liquids that all are good they test liquids from 9 to 14 months before release.

Ultra Pure water 1ltr and 5ltr (0.5μS or approx 0.05 PPM) This is the lowest in this country (uk)
Pre-Mixed Liquids inc the new Blood Red, Blood Orange, Oil black ect ect
Dyes (mixable)

The dye's do not brake down nor do they separate.

There are more fluids on there way including some new white ones. You can have custom colours made but you need to contact them. There are several build logs out there with custom made liquids that mayhem's has done for people.

Oh by the way im mayhem ;) ....
