WD Elements 2TB Formatting - External

This came this morning and when installing it, I noticed it has software pre-installed. I went to format it to NTFS, windows said it cannot and it failed so I formatted it to ‘exFAT’ and now I cannot format it back to NTFS. I’m trying to format it back to NTFS now with windows and using the long option (unticked quick format), hoping this will work.

Anyone got any ideas on how to format it to NTFS and get it to work? Maybe I need to use another program and not windows disk management?

Yay, seemed to have fixed it after 30mins of messing around. WDs program to fix it didn't work so I ended up deleting the whole drive via Disk Management, then formatted it via Disk Management and it works now.
