Hi hope someone can help, my raptor is a 74gb 10,000 rpm and while i am online or not my pc crashes and i get a message saying install media boot or reboot the pc and when i reboot the pc it wont boot it sounds like the hard drive just clicks any ideas whats going on never had this happen ever before with a hard drive.

Is it a regular clicking, a sort of tink-tink-tink maybe one "tink" per second or so?

It could be that the drive is on the way out. Firstly, if you can, get everything important backed up either to CD/DVD or another HDD. Then go and get a copy of the WD diagnostic program (there's a link in the main sticky at the top of this forum) and run it with a full surface scan, it'll take a while but it'll tell you if there's anything up with the drive. If the diags report a fail then you should be able to get the drive replaced if it's still under warranty.

Cheers mate i run that WD diagnostic program and it found bad sectors which it says it has repaired, the clicking was when it boots instead of the normal hard drive noise it would just click and then reboot again.Oh well mate i hope that has sorted it Thanks again.
