WD Red or Seagate NAS?

I've been recently considering replacing my old Netgear Stora with something a bit more robust for video, audio and photo storage.

I've decided on the Synology DS414 but I can't decide what to put in it. Obviously OCUK only stock the Seagate and WD NAS specific drives and I'm torn.

In the past I've always had WD drives just because I've found them to be a good reliable manufacturer, but the Seagate 4TB drive is tempting just for the extra capacity over the 3TB WD equivalent.

If it makes a difference I'd more than likely be running them in SHR and start with a single drive and expand up to 3 and then 4 as I run out of space.

Does anyone have any experience of both and would like to wade in with their thoughts/advice?

Weighing up the same thing.
From my POV;
WD are more expensive but have a longer warranty
Seagate drives are my personal preference but it niggles me about the warranty.

Seagate drives have lost my confidence (I was previously something of a fanboy) as much as it pains me I'd probably buy WD next time I was buying a mechanical drive.

Can't comment on Seagate drives but I opted for 4x3TB WD Reds in my Synology as Raid 10. Been a year now and no faults/issues etc. With a NAS I just wanted to set it and forget it with peace of mind. They are on the expensive side however so It might come down to that.
