The last 25yrs have severally lacked a hilarious sex comedy. At best we could say Superbad or similar.

I say this as I'm watching AP2 and I haven't laughed so hard at any movie in years.

What's happened to comedy these days.

Similar with Cruel Intentions - the TV show was a pale imitation, making movies like that just isn't on the agenda these days.

Poor teenagers. There is a massive lack of films that give you anecdotes and catch phrases. I can't think of one recently that you could recite.

Comedy Movies used to be created by funny people. Upcoming comedians, SNL legends like Belushi, myers, carvey, Murphy etc.

Now we lack decent funny people trying to break into the mainstream. Instead they just create some YouTube content and get an audience on their own.

They don't need to fight for the backing of studios etc.

No hunger any more.
