Wealth

Was just having a debate with people at work about this question, wondered what your answer would be:

If you were given an endless supply of money, do you think you would die a happier person?

I'd surely die a fattier person anyways!

Om nom nom!

:D

Not really. Everything I do that makes me truly happy is free. I might be able to buy more crap I don't need if I'm incredibly wealthy, but it will be just that, crap I don't need. With my current financial situation I'm able to travel a lot, save, buy things I need (not want, so much), have enough free time to do things, so I'm happy. If I suddenly had to be given 50 million pounds in a normal low interest account, I'm willing to bet good money that there would be more than 50 million a year from now.

If you are capable of dying happy, I think you will do so regardless of wealth.

My daughter makes me happier than anything in the world and she doesn't cost much.

I think I would. Not because I could use the money for my own ends. But I would be able to do so much with it, for others.

I can't believe how many previous answers were of the "me! me! me!" type.
I'm not judging, just making an observation.

I would not pretend to call my self religious but I would die a very happy man if I could use the money to help other, less fortunate souls have a happier life.
