Think if i pour boiling hot water onto the ground it'll melt the ice and give me some traction or will the boiling water just turn straight to ice?

Well it's 3:10 now and there is no snow in Birmingham yet. I live on the 12th floor of the Rotunda in Birmingham city center so I should notice if is starts snowing. It's bloody windy at the moment though. I'm not randomly waiting up for snow, I have a coursework deadline for tomorrow and I've got a little more to finish.

Headed off to work yesterday morning at the normal time of 06:45. I walk to work and spent about 20mins of a 1hr 30min journey aquaplaning across pavements and footpaths. Walking slowly is a new thing for me and I managed to turn a corner too fast and bounced off a postbox onto the road

Not looking forward to heading off to work this morning in an hour. Need an excuse...
