web-based F1 management simulation type thing

no guesses which team you've gone for

the good teams are being taken rapidly, but there's still plenty of 2nd driver slots in them.

i once played a game as team stupid aguri and it said "warning: playing with this team provides a very high level of challenge" - good luck to whoever gets them.

it's worth noting you can nick your team mates setups, schumey style

Second in practice at the mo, very happy.

Just how can the ferraris' bes so quick on hard tyres, my lap on hards is bottom!

the different driver characteristics you choose affect how you can do things

my choices allow me to take a very high risk in practice with minimal chance of binning it. more data = better setup = faster times.

a case in point, i already have 4-5 slides at the "spot on" settings

they say spot on if they are perfect.

come on people, there are still seats free at

BMW, Toyota, Red Bull, Honda

and there are whole fresh teams available

Williams, Midland, Toro Rosso, and Stupid Aguri (for anyone who's MAN enough ;))

i can start it manually now, and it'll be in 24 hours, although i can skip sessions at will.

if i start it now though, no one else can join in, so i think i'll give it a wee while.

the quality of the team doesnt make that much difference

i run BMW in another private game and i'm coming into the final race of the season in a "winner takes it all" situation with a guy in a honda. the mclaren and ferrari are nowhere to be seen

so how come Stupid Aguri is such a challenge?

does it make the car harder to setup?

if all the cars were setup to the same level and on the same strategy, you'd probably see a pretty realistic order

the person doing the setup work is more important than the car itself to a point. i've yet to reach the point where the car itself makes a huge difference to my speed, (this ferrari is perhaps a tenth faster than the BMW is in my other game)

to put it another way

even as i am now, nearly a second quicker, i'm still the best part of 3 seconds off the lap record...
