Wow. Thanks for all the feedback - really appreciated. I'm pleased it went down well overall and that the navigation was a good point. That was one of the things I concentrated on, as completely flash websites that mean you can't use the browser navigation buttons annoy me, as do those that rely on drop-downs or are slow as a result of flash.

Thanks for the link, it's really useful. I might take a look at splitting up the page a bit with background colour. What did you mean by making the links line up? If you meant that the thumbs displayed in different sized boxes in firefox then that should be fixed - it's due to the way IE and firefox process tables differently or something. My fix might have altered the size of the boxes in Safari, though - I need to check later.

Yeah I guess the white was a bit out of place. Changed it to the background colour - better or do people think the highlighting should go entirely?

Might have a think about the font. Overall I was going for bits that would be written by me in a more handwritingy style and other stuff (EXIFs, natigation, footer etc) in a more standard text. I personally think it's a bit strange when people design a website (and it's shown in the footer that they did) and then refer to themselves in the third person, making it look like they had someone else do it. I was trying to emphasise the fact that it was me writing it.

I'll be the first to admit that I know very little about either web design or web coding, although I've a head start from doing programming at A2. Modifying the guestbook was the first time I'd played with php. I'm aware that the first time the website is loaded and before things are cached, the sizes change a bit - frankly I would have no idea how to go about fixing this.
