Wedding outfit

You can if you like, it all depends who you are and how you want it to be and how you want to day to be. You can be as formal or casual as you like. :)

I would say if you have the look and style to pull it off then go for it. If you don't then it might give the impression that you don't give a damn about the occasion.....

Always go for a formal shirt, always.

Given the top picture isn't that far from my every day wear, though less colorful shirt, I kind of find it funny that someone would get married in it. (Its a good look though I go for a little more understated, but not something I'd get married in).

If you are a Slobbo from Scotchland I think it'll be perfect. If you're a normal human being with any self respect on one of the most important day of their lives, it's a disgrace.

I'm struggling to see the relationship between "most important day of your life" and looking good in a suit. Don't look tatty obviously, there's going to be photos of you everywhere, so look smart (just not in a suit...)

People spend so much money on buying clothes for a wedding, what's the point. Your there to get married to someone you love, not have a fashion show :) save money and go more casual, if this was mentioned on the invite as well then you wouldn't look out of place.

I'm young though and don't see the point in dressing up for many occasions. Even when family friends come over, my mum and dad insist on dressing up nice...just look acceptable! Hence probably going against the majorities view.

The pictures of the day will date quickly if you go for a fashionable trend. My husband is a mechanic and never wears a suit yet I would have been horrified if he had turned up in jeans on our wedding day. It would have looked lazy.

What's your Groom going to be wearing?

this.

£750 budget for jeans and a blazer ? My mind boggles. You could get a proper tailored suit made for half of that.

I wouldn't wear blue jeans personally, but have no suggestions as it is your day so do as you see fit.

Most of it is a show for others anyway.

You need to scrub up like a super model to pull of this Italiancasual bs or you end up looking like an extra from TOWIE.

There is a good chance that the Vicar and the Photographer will look better dressed than you. Which is not a good thing considering it is your big day.

You don't have to go full morning suit and top hat.

Just google the words casual wedding suit and then look at the images - some very nice looking suits there (just don't go for the white ones otherwise you might be mistaken for a Psy tribute :) )

Yeah that will look fine if your wife is equally matched:

I really hope OP is taking the ****, if that's what people think a good suit looks like these days we're all ****ed.

Prince Edward style suits are to be honest I think the best you can get for modern weddings, they're a bit more hip but equally stylish and classy.

depends on the rest of the wedding really - if you are going for a church wedding, with a formal reception afterwards, this is not the outfit to do that!
If you're getting married in a field then having a bbq after it, possibly

(the guy in the second photo there looks like a right fanny! can't understand wanting to look like a **** on your wedding day)

Also, you should tell guests about the dress code, you can't look like the most casual person at your own wedding

With regards to the photos looking terrible in years to come, I've never seen wedding photos from 20 or 30 years ago that don't look horrendous regardless of what the groom was wearing.

It's not a look for me.

I suppose if you're a male model with a team of stylists like in the OP photo's then you might be able to pull it off. But jeans and blazer, I think the majority of people would just end up looking like Jeremy Clarkson. It's not a goal I'd aim for.

Even with a team of stylist he'd look like a right bell end.

Like you sharted before the wedding and had to get some trousers out of lost property. People are going to be wondering "Did he crap his pants? Are those some jeans out of the church bin?"
