WEED KILLER

Weedol should sort it... They all work similarly to each other - they encourage rapid rapid growth which the root/plant structure is unable to support which then kills the plant itself.

A lot of people think it's not working as they see it encouraging growth so I just wanted to explain that one in case you were worried it was not working.
Does it get rid of broad leaf weeds though?

Weedkillers are generally grouped into 3 categories - Broadleaf, Narrow leaf (grasses) and Total Coverage.

As clover is a Broadleaf, I am not sure if there is a weedkiller out there that will kill other weeds (which are generally Broadleaf) while leaving the clover alone unfortunately.

Luckily I’ve got so few weeds that I can just spray individuals when they appear. I try to preserve the clover these days as the bees love it and it’s a natural fertiliser.

It depends on the active ingredients as to what weeds it kills and how effective.

Mecoprop
Dicamba
2, 4-D

These are the main ones for Broadleaf control. Ideally get a weedkiller with a mix of the 2 (or singular and combine them)

Any suggestions? Currently using glycophos!

The Vitax weed and feed has arrived, so now got the sprinkler going for a couple of hours then will give it a go.
It can't be any worse than the hopeless greenforce I've already tried (although it did kill some moss).
I'm aiming to get rid of this stuff, whatever it is?..

I normally double the recommended dose for gallup, lawn-friendly weed killer, iron sulphate, etc.

Assuming the doses on the packets are legislative somehow for the environment etc. so I ignore them.

So you waste it. The dosage is plenty, you can often reduce it with no issue especially if you ensure good coverage.
