Weekend football - 1st-3rd November **Spoilers**

Nope, Wenger did at the start of the season.

Exactly, I can't believe that WEnger blamed Adebayor for, Gallas and Silvestre for their crapness last game and he went and played him again. Then the fantastic panic formation of "lets put all our strikers on , in any position and errm, thats it".

We've done that several times and its failed every time, he's become a poor manager. A non panicking decent manager will make the right subs and keep with a real formation thats practiced and can work, a idiot one will bring play 7 strikers, 4 upfront, 4 midfield, 2 at the back and no formation, no shape, no build up, no passing, just nothing. Was a joke, Walcott was utter crap again.

Its laughable, Adebayor was hopeless from the first second, again, then he got injured, barely moved and it still took 10 whole minutes before he took him off. This is someone who was bad before and was now barely moving due to injury and he still kept him on? I'll say it again, Wengers lost it.

We played an even more defensive side than usual today and were.... worse defensively, when he'll start to blame Denilson and Song and realise they are woeful I do not know. When we'll give Vela a chance upfront I don't know. When we are massively in need of a win like today after the Spurs game, why RVP didn't start after easily being the best player on the pitch against Spurs and us falling apart without him on, I don't know. Toure looked so far from match fit it was a joke, what we would have done for a fit backup in Senderos today.

Stoke weren't good, we were poor, and arguably both of their goals should have been dissallowed which is all Wenger will stick to, blame the ref, not his players. Don't drop massively underperforming players or try and fix the team.

There must be one player out there not on contract whose even a remotely decent defensive midfielder. Some 36yr old looking for a last season of a few matches, we simply can't get worse than Denilson/Song, in the meantime, Ramsey is much stronger than both, in stonking form at the moment and might just be good enough to keep us ticking over till January.

But does anyone really trust Wenger to buy a defensive midfielder in January, I know I certainly don't.

The worst of it is, Clichy, such a massive performer last year, been here a long time, never complained while stuck behind Cashley in the pecking order, took over so well when he left. Been desparate for a goal and to get one that means so little and he can't celebrate, I felt so bad for him. He's been very clearly wanting to get a goal this season and he just looked upset that we were still going to lose.

Anyone else notice that after Gerrard had a little shouting/tantrum fit at Riera, who was possibly our best player, Riera has now lost confidence in what he's doing?

I'm probably looking too much into it, but Riera was playing great and getting into some good position, but after Gerrard screamed at him, he's become unsure of whats he's doing and has gone quiet.

You know he's on record saying he has scoured the world and simply cannot find a decent center half?
Believe it or not, out of a population of 6+ billion people there is not one person on the planet Wenger can find who is better than William Gallas.
He's a genius!

All we need to do now is loose to West Brom and we've lost to all the promoted teams.

We've only got one team in the bottom half of the table to play, and almost the entire top half of the table(except hull, who we lost to at home, can easily lose that one away). Our record is awful considering we're a Champs league side whose only played bottom half opposition and not looked convincing in almost any of the wins and conceded in most games.

Spurs sucked last season, and this season too. If things don't pick up we are honestly looking at finishing out of the Euro places, almost all the teams around us in the table have played a decent amount of the top half teams while we're just about the only team to have avoided the "quality" teams so far so at this stage our points haul might be similar to Man U but is realistically much worse considering who we've played.

But no worries, we've lost another player to a red card for 3 games, and two more injuries with Theo's looking like a recurrance of his long term shoulder injury from 2 seasons ago, whoopee. Not only did we rest RVP and not try to fix our existing problems, we've gone into a , last year would be seen as an easy win game, lost, and come out with a worse off squad.

Wenger's killing us.

The worst part is, every single last preseason game, and every league game up until the transfer window closed it was so freaking obvious that Denilson wasn't anywhere near good enough for defensive midfield, he's had from the first game in preseason to fix it, in most of those games he moved Eboue across to take over and we improved dramatically each time. But nothing, I'm not sure Eboue is the answer for that role but its clear he's much better than Denilson, but Wenger ignored it completely for a reason I can't fathom.

he then went ahead and bought a sicknote player who certainly wouldn't play till around now, Bichoff of whatever his name is who is playing for the reserves already but no sign of being moved in and frankly I'm not even sure how defensive he is.

INstead of buying just, really, ANY defensive midfielder, he gave Adebayor an extra 40k a week, after the transfer window closed, to reward him for trying to leave and being told to stick his wage requests where the sun doesn't shine by Barca and Milan. Now is it just me but couldn't that 40k have gone on , either wages comparable to what Milan offered Flamini to keep him here, or, on a defensive midfielder? The board said over and over again he can spend whatever he wants on whoever he wants. While he might not have been able to find the next Makelele who was 17yrs old, surely he could have found someone 17-25 who was far better than Denilson defensively?

Or you know, not sell Diarra for a frankly very small profit when it was clear Flamini was already looking like he was going to smeg off?

That commentator on Five live wants to learn to count, he says Chelsea will stay top, erm no they wont, they are level now on 26 points, a draw here gives us 27. :p

Same on BBC website
Well, didn't see that coming. Can Spurs, with the crowd behind them, now go on and win the game? Chelsea, top of the table if Liverpool don't win, will be watching on with interest.
Fools.
