*** Weekend Football Spoilers 11/12th etc ***

Not a great performance (again :() but we battled it out. SWP is starting to look really good at times, Duff is completely the opposite. Stunning strike by Gallas though which was worth the win on it's own, how long is it now?;)

Has anyone seen the bizarre incident in the Valencia v Real Madrid match?

One of the Madrid defenders actually picked the ball up in the penalty area thinking that the referee had given a free kick to Valencia outside of the box. The referee never gave the free kick to Valencia yet the offficials failed to notice the Real defender with the ball in his hands.

Very disappointing match so far. It's far too stop/start. Some of the Valencia players certainly like a dive don't they?

Not as badly as that right winger (or should that be right whinger?) for Madrid. He sucks hard. He has average control, poor passing range, can't beat a man and can't take a challenge.

Some corking goals today in the Prem.

Beckham?

or are you on about the Brazilian who played there tonight?

Beckham has never been a winger :p He doesn't even play on the right for them.

Cicinho I think it was. Can't tackle, can't pass well, can't go past a man, didn't cross it for the whole game...

Beckham always plays on the right for Madrid nowadays.

Cicinho is usually a right-back if i remember rightly. I think they only played him there on the right because Beckham didn't play tonight.

I felt a bit for Ronaldo after he missed that penalty in the last minute. He's got a lot of stick off the Madrid fans lately. I'd welcome him at United if the rumours are true that Ruud is out and Ronaldo is in.

No way, I'd keep Ruud. Yes Ronaldo has taken a lot of stick from the fans but its down to him at the end of the day. He has let it all slide, no one to blame but himself. I think he will favour a move back to Italy, but with someone who will help get his fitness into shape. Losing some of the weight will help. He is not ready for the WC right now, and to be honest I'm glad him and Adriano are not :p Although Adriano broke his goal drought tonight with a win against Samp.

As for Cicinho, he has always been a RB, always loves going forward, from the games I have seen him play he has been outstanding (not tonight though). Was surprised he never started against Arsenal, Another big one ManU missed out on.

Cracking goals today, never seen so many in one day before, first time I've ever seen MOTD do a goal of the day  The second Mendes goal was probably the best for me though.

I think he has shed a few pounds lately. He looked a lot leaner last night.

I'd rather keep Ruud but if he is to go i'd welcome Ronaldo as a replacement. There were 2 presenters on talkSport who had heard the same rumour. One source was from Spain and the other from England.

After the Man Utd fans applauded him for his hat-trick there a few years ago, Old Trafford holds a special place in Ronaldo's heart and that may sway him. He certainly won't be at Madrid next season anyway.

Ronaldo imo is still at least 14 pounds overweight. He would spend a lot of time with Saha on the treatment table if he ever left Madrid and joined us. Van Nistelrooy is going, I'm 99% certain now. He's being treated the exact same way Beckham was. He'll join Fergusons list with Stam, Beckham and Keane. :(

I'd want someone younger than Ronaldo, he's past his best and he'll be 30 this year. Same age as Ruud basically.

Looking forward to the game tomorrow V Newcastle. Just hope it's on Sky Sports, haven't checked yet.

The rumours are getting on my nerves now, he's only missed 2 games. I don't think Ruud will leave. All those players you mentioned upset Fergie, and he showed them that no one is bigger than him, Ruuds done nothing. He was only dropped because Saha was in form and he won't stay on the bench for ever.

Some cracking goals in the prem today. Can't wait to get back to Old Trafford tommorrow, 5 weeks is tooooo long :)

Bring it on!!

In the red corner: Van der Sar, Howard, Neville, Bardsley, Ferdinand, Brown, Vidic, Silvestre, Evra, Richardson, Ronaldo, Giggs, O'Shea, Fletcher, Park, Rooney, Van Nistelrooy, Saha, Rossi.

In the Black and White corner: Given, Harper, Ramage, Babayaro, Boumsong, Elliott, Parker, Emre, Solano, N'Zogbia, Bowyer, Faye, Clark, Brittain, Pattison, O'Brien, Shearer, Ameobi, Luque, Chopra.

Really looking forward to this and gutted I couldnt go :(

Confidence among the faithful is at high right now , the Toon still unbeaten since tachless was fired.
If we are to get a result , we have to orcestrate it from the middle of the park.
I cant remember Newcastle ever having a stronger midfield than Man Utd and hopefully we can build on that.

RVN , Rooney and Ronaldo are a massive danger and any mistakes among our makeshift back line will be severely punished.

Its going to take a massive effort to get even a draw here today , lets hope the lads are up to it.

Its been rumoured that Ruud will be on the bench again today - Is Fergie mad!!
This bloke has scored a hugely embarrasing 9 goals in his last 8 games against us , we just cant handle him.

Key men for us are our captain making his last visit here (and will be roundly booed all game as per) and deputy in waiting Scott Parker , as well as Shay Given who may be a little busier than he has been in recent weeks.

Heart says draw , head says one hell of a hammering.
I dont mind a defeat , as long as we put up a good fight and compete.

Haway the lads!
