I honestly don't think I've ever seen as bad a refering performance as that, Bentley, deliberate handball, a awful challenge that could have been a red on its own, neither got a card is terrible. Ekotto with the blantant kick away, a bunch of fouls and a horrible one on Eduardo could easily have been sent off but don't think he got a yellow at all. Likewise, Vermaelen a yellow for a great challenge where he clearly got the ball first and barely made any contact, it certainly wasn't contact through the back and it was minor at best.
Palacios with foul, after foul, after foul, after foul, after foul and nothing. Not quite sure but did Crouch get a yellow for throwing the ball back to where the freekick was to be taken aswell?
Good performance but not great, was a very odd game, RVP's passing was awful all game, barely found anyone, first few shots were awful aswell but his first was class, second I'm not sure he actually shot at all, looks rather like the ball deflects off him. Fabregas's goal was just pure brilliance, helped by a sluggish defence.
Diaby, gave away the ball constantly, barely attempted a forwards pass all game, didn't make most of his passes, didn't retain the ball well, gave away freekicks in stupid places, had he not been on the pitch we would have absolutely demolished them.
Spurs were particularly bad though, a team that hadn't played together in that kind of setup much and it showed, no fluency, no understanding or partnerships and no one really stepped up their game at all.
yet again I'm rather angry that with the game gone with 35 minutes to go, we only saw Ramsey 6 mins from time while we were wasting time and Spurs had given up, what he learns from that I'll never know. Taking off RVP on a hattrick, instead of Diaby who was absymal again I'll also never understand.
Thats 18 starts for Fabregas, 9 goals and 14 assists, not to shabby
