I think Chelsea are in much better form going in to this game and they're at home.

I trust Fergie to put out a good side and motivate the player, If United don't turn up Chelsea could really run away with this game.

Too close to call, United aren't playing well but they're picking up results and against Arsenal they were dominated yet managed to come away with a win.

Chelsea didn't deserve to win that, a draw would have been a fair result.

United played better then they have been, and Chelsea didn't play as well as they have been doing. Entertaining end to the game to be honest :)

Didn't think much to Chelsea going forward, but they played well in defence. United were imo the better of the two sides but neither did enough to deserve the win.

What was Drogba doing trying to jump into Evans and then going down dead and having a fit? :S

Who's JamesU2005? never seen him in the sports sub before.

I'm staying in Sheffield until Wednesday ;)

 I think we must have been watching a completely different game.

Fletcher's foot was about chest height! How is that not shockingly dangerous play??? But it was Drogba's fault for jumping into him...

I think we might of been if you saw Fletcher kick Drogba?

Evans jumped for a ball and Drogba ran into him / tried to head the ball, imo Drogba had no chance of winning the ball and had he not collided with Evans foot he'd have probably given away a free kick.

Infact he was booked for the challenge on Evans lol

GETT IIINNNN

Chelsea played the better football.

Serves thug Flethcer right!!

United=Nout without Ronaldo.

I'm happy to admit I'm a serial thread reader than poster, just look at my forum stats. ;)

But can I not be happy my team has won and have a view on the game?

It's not trolling if I have an opinion.

Perhaps if I posted pictures of the goal, celebration etc, but I was just voicing my view, its what a forum is all about.

If you're going to post like that, you can stay a "serial thread reader" :)

Sorry I meant evans not fletcher. I didn't say he kicked him. I said it was dangerous play which it clearly was.

Evans jumped to head the ball, Drogba (no chance of getting the ball) attempts to jump in to him and instead jumps into Evans foot.

Drgoba booked (Y)

Not really got any complaints about the ref / decisions, I thought Lampard fouled Valencia in the first half but "meh".

Just didn't think either side did enough / played well enough to warrent the win, United were "just" better then Chelsea but still a draw would have been fair.

So players routinely stick one leg up uncomftably high, for a header? it was above waist height on Evans, I've NEVER seen a player do that when going to head the ball.

Watch more football?

Evans didn't do anything wrong, Drogba jumped in to him when it was clear he wasn't going to win the ball.

Didn't think the ref got 'owt wrong today, just didn't feel Chelsea deserved to win on the run of play.

oooo! DM! I'm not online long :(

Was it Song / Diabys fault you conceded a goal? :p

I'll continue to post as frequently as I want to :p

But seriously I will post when I feel I have an opinion to voice, everything I have posted in this thread is my view on the game.

Am starting to wish I never bothered feels like that if I don't agree with the so called "regulars" in the Sports Arena then I shouldn't post.

Sorry for having an opinion.

So I guess we will be graced with your next post if Chelsea beat United at Old Trafford?

I'll mark it in on my calander :)

laughs - personally think he looks very promising indeed, he is just recovering from a back injury but when he is fullly fit he should be great

Not sure about Tosic, for whatever reason I dont think he is going to make it , he has been at Utd since Jan and not really progressed that much, CC/ maybe FA Cup player this season at most I think

I think Obi Wan is looking good, he's quick and clearly has good feet. He's linked up well in the Carling Cup and I thought he was a bright light in a fairly dull game.

I also think Tosic looked fairly good, I'd like to see him given a shot at the first team, but if Fergie doesn't think he's ready, People should trust Fergie's judgement.

don't go Ober the top trying to think of something to do with his name.

:D lol'd

Gerrard fit to play B'ingham?
Rafa doesn't want him to play for England?
Gerrard going to be given the once over by the England medical team I take it?

Whats the line up going to be like? Where's Baz when you need him :(

1. It wasn't a freekick, this could be debated but not well.
2. Drogba hauls Wes Brown to the ground
3. Drogba tries to play the ball when he's in an offside position, the ball goes an inch from his foot so he's clearly active

Thats just football, I think it was a foul, but I think that Drogba should have given a foul away on Wes Orange. A draw was the right result.

I just think it's a disgrace that Obertan has got two starts and 2 substitute appearances yet Tosic hasn't got a single game this year, especially after looking really good pre season. He's the only natural left footed winger that we've got, I'm not saying he's going to make it but he really deserves the chance.

I agree, while I think they're both good young players they both need to be given a chance in the first team. Tosic hasn't and Obi Wan has, go figure.

How was it awful? He didn't get the ball, sure, and N'Gog could have just run into the challenge and fallen over without near as much fuss, but there was nothing awful about it. Perfectly legitimate slide tackle that was just millimetres off making contact with the ball. Not malicious, not a leg-breaker, not a two-footer, not awful in the slightest.

:D

He dived.

As G|mp said, having to dive to draw against B'mingham at home :(

Anyway! I very much enjoyed the Dingles V the Blunts :D

I hate you. :(

I love you Cas :D

I would have liked you both to lose, because of the points situation in the league.

I was laughing so much when that Walker lad dived for a pen near the end, and then the Blunts striker scored after he escaped a red card for taking out a Dingle player :D

Great entertainment, wasn't much football played! lots of kicking / long ball tactics!

I suppose seeing how we "play" does make you realise why there are quite a growing number of supporters wanted Blackwell to be sacked. Our football is getting worse every game. :/

I really don't blame Kilgallon for wanting out, I'd want out if I was him, and I support them! :p

Ah well, I suppose I just need to hope Blackwell wakes up one morning and stops blaming the injuries, when his poor "tactics" don't help. :(

Playing like Barca without the level of players that Barca have is never going to be that effective :p

I think in the Championship been able to play good long ball football is just bread a butter, you and me might not like it but it gets results (normally), I can add that United and Wednesday can both play football and both are known for playing on the floor.

I wouldn't be so sure about sacking him, have a bit of faith you have like 1 billion players out injured.
