How was it awful? He didn't get the ball, sure, and N'Gog could have just run into the challenge and fallen over without near as much fuss, but there was nothing awful about it. Perfectly legitimate slide tackle that was just millimetres off making contact with the ball. Not malicious, not a leg-breaker, not a two-footer, not awful in the slightest.Dive aside too that was an awful challenge that probably deserved a penalty anyway, he just didn't need to dive so obviously (he should have done what Rooney did against Arsenal)
And I think he's a good player too
