England Squad *as of 30th Aug*

Goalkeepers: Foster (Manchester United), Green (West Ham), Robinson (Blackburn)

Defenders: Johnson (Liverpool), Brown (Manchester United), Upson (West Ham), Terry (Chelsea, capt), Lescott (Manchester City), A Cole (Chelsea), Bridge (Manchester City)

Midfielders: Wright-Phillips (Manchester City), Lennon (Tottenham), Beckham (Los Angeles Galaxy), Barry (Manchester City), Lampard (Chelsea), Carrick (Manchester United), Gerrard (Liverpool), A Young (Aston Villa), Milner (Aston Villa)

Strikers: Rooney (Manchester United), Heskey (Aston Villa), Defoe (Tottenham), C Cole (West Ham), Crouch (Tottenham).

Seriously, how the hell is Heskey still being picked. A guy whose inept for Wigan, gets a stupid transfer to a succesful 1st half of the season team, starts loads of games, Villa's form goes from CL quality form, to what was it, 2 wins in 18 games in all comps or something nuts? The few games Villa still looked potent he didn't play, he's sucked for England in all but one game against one of the worst teams in the world. Then this season Villa looked utterly terrible with him playing, he's dropped and Villa beat Liverpool AWAY and Fulham, yes he played in the Rapid Vienna game, yet he didn't get either goal, looked useless and Rapid Vienna are utter turd.

Fact is we won't win while he's just trying to fit every supposed big name into the team. Rooney's not a striker, Gerrards not a winger(when he's not faking illness/injury or diving his ass all over the pitch, seriously shouldn't players who fake an injury for every friendly, assault people in bars, and generally leave the team completely unbalanced anyway not be called up?), Heskey's a joke and Barry/Carrick are anything but defensive midfielders.

England need a spanking, infact they have to have a spanking so Capello finally has the balls/reason to stand up to the english press and pick a balanced and quality team that could have a chance of winning the World Cup. Seriously the team we pick for each game is no different under Capello to the team's McClown or the Turnip picked, infact they are all but identical, picking all the same big names and all the "alternative" players expected in Crouch, Heskey, defensive cover, midfield picks, playing Lampard and Gerrard when fit despite the utter inability for both to function properly together over the past 5 years.

Rotty removed posts in the Gerrard thread that implied he was guilty because they were libelous yet you continue to post the same crap over and over again and over again. He was NOT even charged with ASSAULT! He was charged with AFFRAY!

Huge game for Norn Ireland tonight.

Only 3 games left in our group -away to Poland and the Czechs, and home to the group leaders Slovakia - and they're going to be hard. A point in Poland tonight will set us up for a battle with Slovakia at Windsor Park on Wednesday night. 4 points this week will almost guarantee us atleast a place in the play-offs.

Tonights game is behind the BBC red button at 7.30 for those outside our wee country.
