For what exactly? Lashing out at the defender who had a fistful of his shirt and the referee giving a penalty much to Rooney's and the rest of the England team's amusement? It should have been a freekick to the defender if anything.
 
I couldn't see the defender holding rooney's shirt. I did see rooney holding the defender's though.

To be honest isn't lashing out at players in that way a straight red anyway? That would be a 1 game ban.
 
I mean the hypocrisy of the media, don't really care what Terry or Rooney or anybody says, footballers go down easily sometimes, I do it, everyone does, not always on purpose but it happens. Just wish the media and fans would be fair in their criticism.
 
Watch it again then, left hand on Rooney's right side. Hardly a red card was it. Jesus talk about clutching at straws. :p
 
This is all a bit bizarre, they're laughing about Rooney trying to lash out at the defender and subsequently ending the poor guys game AND getting a wrongful penalty 'cos he fell over, yet they'll all act disgraced and disgusted when Eduardo goes down easy. :( What's wrong here?
