Weekend Football Thread. *spoilers* 18-22

I didn't realise the extent to Ledley King's persistent injuries until I read last week he can't train with all the other players and basically lead's a separate existence with regards to fitness and training. Tragic really when you consider his ability when fit.

Back pager.... at full stretch, finger tips onto the post and out :D

He doesn't train with the rest of the squad at all anymore, allegedly. Apparently the only training he does now is swimming.

Exactly. The fact he's still one of the best CB's in the Prem even though he hasnt trained with his team mates for about 2 years, or had a kick about to practice just makes you think how naturally talented he really is.

I'm not sure I would agree with that anymore. The effect of a lack of training is becoming more and more apparent with every game. Hate to say it, but I don't think he'll be able to play for too much longer at this level. 2 seasons more, tops, would be my guess. :(

He can still run like lightning and for such a big guy who basically doesn't train that is some natural ability. I think Hargreaves is at the same career stage, both of them suffer from a chronic condition in their knees and they've reached the point where their careers will be cut short.

It's still early season, with more games King could still sharpen up and will benefit more and more from if he can stay fit and keep playing once a week.

Though things aren't looking too good for him atm I agree. Such a shame as he's reaching his peak... would have been some player fully fit.

Yup...Sol Campbell has now left Notts County. What a waste of time that was. So much for all his interview crap about how keen he was to be a part of what was being built at Notts County.

When he signed :

"I'm looking to the future now," said Campbell. "Career-wise this sits perfectly for where I am at the moment in my life. I didn't really have to think too much about it.

"There were offers from the Premier League but that would have been short-term. I'm thinking of the future. I'll play for at least three years and then go from there"

Honestly...sometimes players talk so much bull.

Apparently its being said that the FA will not allow him to sign for another side before the next transfer window.

4-1 Liverpool, Gerrard.

GAHHHH I transferred that lady-boy Torres out of my fantasy football team last week. Always happens to me.
