Weekend Football Thread. *spoilers* 18-22

LOL, Sol Campbell run so ragged at the weekend, he's quit Nott's County. Considering he could just play crap ride the bench and pick up 10million over 5 years of barely trying, he must really have hated being there :p

sorry if I'm weighing in a bit late on the Bellamy row but I wanna put my threpence in here, this is the only place I've heard that the fan actually spat at Bellamy, it has been the main topic in every sports report on 5 live since sunday and not once has it said he actually spat. Nor has it said what punishment the fan will receive for going on the pitch, normally a permanent ban is it/

Also right, if this was outside a club and it was caught perfectly on CCTV, a guy had say come out of a pub and shouted at bellamy who was the same distance away, police (or bouncers whatever) restrained the guy, Bellamy walked upto him and did what he did to be seen on CCTV he would get done for assault no? I highly doubt that would be the end of the incident and "I thought he might spit at me" wouldn't fly, "I pushed his face so he wouldnt spit at me" how is that anymore effective then oh say, moving out his way its not like he had free movement what with however many stewards had hold of him, or even just not going on in the first place.

If Bellamy receives no punishment whatsoever then neither should the fan. If the fan had gone right utpo Bellamy, got in his face and was givin him jip then I'd say fair enough but he didn't, he goes over to him and puts his hands up, thats the crux I say.

Interesting that Campbell allegedly wants to leave NC now that Spurs have basically no CBs.

Thats a possibility but frankly, I think its probably more that the physical side in lower leagues is quite different, theres a great pic on football365 with the story, the look he's giving the ref as someone fondles his moob's, is hilarious. He's just got that look like "this ain't professional football, what the hell am I doing here" .

its possible he'll move up somewhere, though Nott's don't have to release his registration even if they release him from his contract AFAIK, meaning they can ask for a fee for him to leave, which means he can't sign till Jan. Also possible they are nice to him and release him for free so he can sign for someone else now.

MOre than likely Nott's would want to make some money by charging for a loan till Jan then transfer fee.

But why would spurs want him, yes they have an issue at the back, but, lets be honest, Sol was terrible last year, and he's not close to the player he was at Arsenal before he left. Spurs would probably be better with Crouch in defence than Campbell.

Spurs don't need him, they have the strongest, deepest squad in the world.
I know most people love a good dig at Spurs but how many clubs, if any, wouldn't struggle with 4 first choice players injured in the same position? A lot struggle with 1, most struggle with 2??

Spurs could still cope with Corluka and Huddlestone... which would still be good enough to keep a club in the Prem?

Isn't that called strength in depth?

Indeed, is there a squad that would cope fine without their 4 first choice CB's?

How is it possible to have 4 first choice centre halves? I'm scratching my head at that one. :p

Just read the fan spat at him. Can't believe people want action to be taken against Bellamy tbh.

Read that on RAWK? Not even Bellamy or City have said that the fan spat at him. He didn't. Can't believe he's not facing any punishment.
