Weekend Footy 29th-1st November/December *Spoilers*

Scolari will be in trouble after that interview, suggesting the ref was bias towards Arsenal, I thought Wenger could talk rubbish, but Scolari is right there with him.

How can he say Terry's challange was a normal tackle? And how on earth that other CB only get 1 Yellow? Bias my bum!

I was wrong about Ronaldo's sending off. In hindsight it looks like a harsh decision.

First yellow he took the ball (just), second one for handball I'd have personally just given a FK.

Amazing result for us, and about time we had some luck from the officials!

Have always said it, but Terry is the most dirty over rated player in the Premiership!

Adebayor was poor today, so was Denilson (shock) but the rest of the team, especially in the 2nd half were really good!

Watch us loose to wigan :p

both goals came from Adebayor headers and i thought Denilson had a good game today.

not everybody has the skill of Messi....i've been one of Denilsons harshest critics this season but he worked his socks off today and by and large did very well against Lampard/Ballack.

can't disagree about Terry though, if Sagna had of cried on the ground like a little girl (i'm thinking Ronaldo here) it might have got Terry sent off...just an overated thug who is on the decline big time.

Webb is a disaster area.

rafaels card was a joke. he got the ball in the first place then just flicked the ball up for the free kick. Ive seen players give the ball for free- kicks like that every weekend

Ronaldo got the ball on his first supposed yellow and clearly gained no advantage with the handball. In fact he could have easily headed that into the goal.

Also Richards seemed to have gotten off without a card with a dangerously high foot early in the game. Vidic even showed the ref the stud marks which looked pretty damn nasty!

Sack Webb to be honest. he screws up too many football matches.

First one's still a booking imo, he's had to kick through SWP's foot to get the ball which is a foul and once it's a foul it has to be a booking because SWP was away. The handball's a strange one though; after the rule they've shown on 'the last word' then it's only a booking if he's tried to gain an advantage which it doesn't look like he has but im not sure how Webb can determine that though. No doubt Ronaldo's reaction to the first yellow's made Webb's decision easier though.

I'm soo pleased with today's score what with the recent goings on! Nice to have a bit of luck too we're owed some.

We must absolutely go and beat Wigan next week and Boro the week after then we MUST get a result against Liverpool!

Hopefully the kids will do Burnley on Tuesday!

Yeah the first one is highly debatable, looking at it as it happened it looked like a certain booking. He took the ball but took the man so to be fair to Webb either decision would have been a respectable one.

That's what made me change my mind, I thought you had to get a booking for handball as I don't think I've ever seen one go unpunished. Regardless, what possible reason did he have to do it. If anything he had a cracking opportunity to nod one in, bizarre decision.

What I don't understand is how such a bad ref can get such a high profile match. OK, the FA should stand by their refs if they believe they are worthwhile, but if there's question marks around them don't make it harder for them by giving them the biggest games too!

What a strange game football is.
4 weeks ago Chelsea were invincible at home even if they struggled away now it's the complete opposite although in fairness we've faced no-one away yet so even that isn't a fair reflection, confused?
We play some fantastic football at times, dominate and control often with sharp passing and movement but until we get some brilliance in the side we won't win a thing, it was ok not having that genius under JM as he knew how not to lose, Scolari seems to only know how to win.
Arsenal were shaky and beatable today and if we had the brilliance that a Torres/Ronaldo/Robinho/Van Persie/Messi/Kaka etc bring we would've won but our good possession is entrusted to the likes of Kalou, Malouda, Deco, Anelka and Stoch to add the icing and they simply can't do it against real teams.

You've got to take into account the fact that you've been without 3 of your most important players (Carvalho, Essien and Drogba) for large parts of the season. For the majority of games you're still more than good enough to win but there will be games where you're either up against top sides or where you're not playing well where those individuals could have made a difference.

We've been in the same position with the injury to Skrtel and constant little niggles Gerrard and Torres are getting. Fortunately we've been able to get by but if we're to maintain our for then we're going to need them fit for the majority of the rest of the season.

I very much doubt that the first two would've made any difference as in defence and midfield we've been good enough in every game (bar the Roma loss) and they don't add the genius we need anyway.
Drogba's a great goal scorer but so's Anelka at the moment and what we really need is creativity to capitalise on our good possession, neither of those 2 have that.

Everton winning and Yakubu out for the season. Dannyjo's going to be celebrating tonight :D

Not forgetting my local team knocking out leeds with a postman. :D Those poor fans, from european football to beaten by a pub team in a few years.

Well pleased about yakubu, hopefully we can get a goat in to replace him. It's just a shame vaughan is yet again injured. I'd have liked him and anichebe to get a good run. Points will be hard to come by but hopefully it will stop Moyes playing a one man forward line.

Fair enough regarding Carvalho although i think he'd have made a difference today (Ivanovic looked dodgy to say the least). As for Essien i disagree; a midfield of Lampard, Mikel and Ballack lacks any real pace or urgency.

I know what you're saying regarding capitalising on your possession but you only have to look at the Arsenal game from last season to see the importance of Drogba. In games where you were struggling to break teams down he gave you the option of going route 1 and he's as good a target man as there is. Like i said, Arsenal last season he very clearly made the difference and won you the game.
