Another nod toward an M3, not cheap, but IMO one will give the best results at the end of the day.
It's a track toy so you'll be looking st the lower end of the market, if it's got a scruffy interior etc, so what? It'll be getting stripped out I'm guessing anyway.
So long as it's mechanically sound use any shabbiness to get the price down, they do go for a lot less than people appreciate especially if they need cosmetic work.
Again, so long as it's been looked after, don't let highmileage put you off too much either.
Ultimately, the M3 is in a different league to the other cars mentioned thus far and for a good reason, seems to me your choosing between the real deal or a wannabe!
