Had a quick blast of the demo, died miserabley in the 1st part, i should have quessed that i couldnt kill the axe wielder, ended up going for co-op, treid to join a few games but kept getting a network error, so made my own, and survived to the end.
PSN demos always win it for me if they are released at the same time as the Live counterparts as I don't have a Live gold membership.
You don't need gold just to download demos. Gold is only need for online multiplayer gaming. The free silver will let you download demos, addons, etc 24/7

Most demos are now exclusive to Gold members for 1 week afaik.
