Weekly Playstation Store Update thread

Just accidentally switched off my PS3 halfway through downloading Riddick :mad:

Will have to start it again tomorrow, the only thing that interests me this week

What I was thinking too.

If he had turned it off through the XMB then he would have been prompted to leave his ps3 on background downloading until the process had finished, by the end of which the console would have turned itself off automatically. I guess he did it the old fashioned way and held the physical on/off switch on the front of the console down for 2 seconds.

Anyway, like Jaffa says, download should still be there so just try resuming it tomorrow.

Sweet tip :D didn't know about that, I just leave my PS3 on overnight if there's lots of stuff to DL (or it's really slow as PSN can be!).

No problem. ;) Surprises me sometimes how many people don't know about this! :p The feature has been around for months!

If you also have a 360 then it has a setting to do the exact same thing (downloads in lower power mode and powers off when done) :)
 
Anthing worth getting from the Easter deals other than the obvious? Got Wipeout HD and R&C and will get Tekken 5 too...

Outrun already downloading here too... rather slowly though, so guess servers are getting hammered.

So just gunna leave it run and come back to it later though.

Looks very similar to Outrun 2006 on the PS2/PSP from the preview I saw.
Just flashed up graphics, and online modes added I guess.

Anyone know whether valkyria chronicles got trophies with the update? Itching to play it through again but don't want to do so if there's a chance of trophies coming out.

Yeah, they did. I bought it too. Shame I haven't played more of it!! Really frustrates the hell out of me when you spend like 30mins gameplay getting a high score only for the timer to run down before you reach the required spectra and end up getting absolutely nothing! Thats what put me off the game originally!
