Weird hotel (room) question!!

Are you one of these people that takes all the complimentary tea bags and coffee sachets home with you? Great, you'll save a good 6 pence there.

Could do but the London Docklands area is expensive and I like to save pennies where I can. :)

No, I don't drink coffee or tea drinks.

The best thing about hotels is ordering strange food at exotic times!

I was in Bournemouth at the time of the lib dem conference a couple of weeks ago, staying in the hotel across the road from the conference centre which was being used by all the journalists/party folk. Checked in late at night with my mother - all normal except I was paying, didn't know her car registration number, was carrying a laptop, and I didn't realise how bad this looked until the receptionist looked us up and down and went "just the one room?" in their typical tone of voice.

I then ordered room service, some sort of fancy sandwiches. No champagne though :p

Should have ordered chocolate moose and some sort of spreading implement.

This thread is ridiculous ! you can afford to stay at a docklands hotel but cant afford to eat out ? I am pretty sure there's many cheapish places to eat round there.
Barring that you could try what that idiot on the apprentice did (sausagegate) to heat the soup.
I can just picture you now making stew or a sunday roast :D

Thought fellow OcUK'ers may appreciate?

Better than the faff with the kettle if your short of a few quid.

If you MUST have soup then Cup a soup it is.

Just whatever you do, PLEASE, do not ask the reception staff if you can use your own hob in your room.. they will likely think your bonkers.
