hey guys, got a powercolor x1800 xt the other day, seems a good card, but i'm getting this weird left to right interference thing on my tft. seems like a refresh rate problem, but it is set to 60 like normal. anyone else had this or know of a fix?
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
Can you get a photo of it? Sounds like faulty RAM to me.Teamsreth said:Just put mine in (powercolor x1800xt 512mb), and on starting, there are some flickers across the screen.
They seemed to be like a band of red/blue randomly appearing across the screen, stretching from one side to the other.
I am using a 19" CRT, so any ideas anyone?

This only happens with Catalyst 6.3 drivers though. If I change back to Cat 6.2 the problem goes away and dark backgrounds look normal. That suggests it is a driver issue, rather than a hardware fault.
If you are running Cat 6.3, try changing the driver to see if this works for you.
Oh I get that - that is the driver redetecting the card, but I don't see any different colours etc whenI'm not switching to 3D mode or doing normal stuff.Jonesiani said:I have a x1800xt and i get the interferience lines after i exit a game, or log into windows. It doesnt effect my games in anyway however, so unless it's really a fault on the card it's self im not too bothered.
