OK, today I had a carpet fitted in my bedroom, so turned off the PC, unplugged it, and moved it literally a meter, no bashing or anything, anyway I plug it back in and it doesn't come on, and there's no vibrations from the PSU so I'm guessing it's gone again lol. it was the corsair 600cx. Now I'm pretty sure it's gone, the PC is usually on 24 7, and I think sometimes when it stops, it can make them go.

Right so I'm hoping someone can recommend me one i can pop out and get tomorrow, I don't want to have to wait etc.

z77 3dh mobo
670 gtx
8gig memory
h60/70 w/c

xfx 600/650 psu

are no fans spinning on the corsair psu? tried different kettle lead (from wall socket to power supply)? checked the fuse in the plug?

they can short sometimes and blow the plug fuse as you plug the lead in

hey mate thanks for the fast reply, no fans not spinning on psu, tried three different cables , and directly from the socket to the psu.

I'm willing to dump £100 on a new one though.

seemslike its gone then, does seem strange though, idk if its still in warranty? you could rma it for a new one but xfx are good replacements

Yeah definitely will rma it as only had it like 6 months, well I want to get a new one tomorrow anyway as I'm one of those that really can't do without their PC lol. I was thinking of maybe a higher wattage one to potentially get a second gtx 670 at some point, but not sure what wattage I would need.

Yeah, unfortunately I need one I can get hold of tomorrow, these are my optons atm.

CORSAIR Gaming Series GS800 Bronze ATX PSU - 800 W

OCZ ZS750W-UK ZX Series ATX PSU - 750 W

Corsair CX750M ATX Modular Power Supply

any thoughts?

xfx are made by seasonic aswell which are considered the best regarding power supplies

not keen on ocz to be honest, corsair seeing you've had it fail already would make me wanna switch

Yeah was the CX600 that's done it twice to me, one sec just going to have a look for xfx's

its upto you really,im using an xfx on my gigabyte board just fine, some ocz power supplies are good aswell but some are poor, ive kinda lost track of them since x58 motherboard days

Yeah I mean £100 is what I want to spend, the problem is, that I want to be able to get it tomorrow, Only place I've checked so far doesn't sell Xfx's

well will the CORSAIR Gaming Series GS800 Bronze ATX PSU - 800 W do a job until I can get one of the better quality ones in? Say 3 months?

its up to you,if it were me id just put the extra for one good psu and sell your old corsair when it comes back

but yeah itll do the job
