New neighbour was noisy at night loud thuds on the floor between 10pm and 6am, didnt know what to do, originally was going to report to LL and ask them to deal with it but seemed too agressive, so did a polite letter through the letter box, they apparently dont speak english, but seems were able to read my letter as it appears to have worked, had a couple of good night sleep since. Its not silent but they clearly making an effort. Property needs noise proofing.

Is that what you would do?

If I had such a request whether by face or letter, I would do what I can to make less noise and maybe even respond with an apology.

I make every effort to be noise free, headphones, not walking around in shoes etc.
