Well I've got used to seeing General Discussion at the top of the 'Life' section, and I'm not sure I can handle that changing

I would have thought putting it below 'Latest News, Deals & Special Offers' (within the same subforum) would be an idea as newbs would see it first at the top rather than down within GD.

I would have thought people sign up to ask questions about computer related topics.

"I know, i'll ask on the forum whether i should buy this CPU or this one".

And especially as the New Members bit is the first thing you see.

Perhaps have 2 and see which one is more popular and eventually remove the "less common" one.
