Putting in in with the latest news section means the least possible disruption in terms of how I tend to look at the forums, however if that's not the option I'd add my vote to above GD as it doesn't look quite right splitting GD & SC.

No thanks. That would mean the hello topics always showing as the most recent topic in gd. It's own forum is best

I say keep it in GD etc, just for the fact that more will notice and welcome... nicer atmosphere?

I dunno, just seems to deviate away from what did happen, someone reads GD mainly they pop in and say hello there. SC say hello there, hardware/cases etc. Sometimes in repsonse to a thread, they just sign up and post from there..

No harm either way, you just might end up with the same people always going to look to say hello to the new people?

I agree - this forum is just going to be full of people saying 'Hello!' and it doesn't make for interesting content. We don't remember people for their 'Hello' threads.

Probably because we never had anyone hot and female sign up to the forums and then post naked pics of themselves in their hello thread

I don't think we need this sub forum, it'd be nice to have more important ones like an Android sub section.

I would actually put it below Speakers Corner. I think having it right at the top of the forum is a bit of a silly idea as new members aren't really "news".

Don't particularly see the point, so I'd opt to remove completely.

If it must stay, can we have it as a subforum of GD please, I dont think it warrants a place of its own.

Edit: Why not just make this a stickied topic in GD and get everyone to post their introductions there?
