Where shall we position the "New Members" section?

  • Leave it where it is (in-between General Discussion and Speaker's Corner)

  • Position it above General Discussion

  • Position it in the "Latest News" section at the top of the forums

Is it possible to stop the posts made in welcoming new members not count towards your total posts? As i can see the new members section being used to up post counts and gain access to members market, which i'd rather not have spamming members in there, but proper community members.

I may just be paranoid though :p

In general discussion because this is in essence "general discussion" or where is it now. It certainly isn't news so it doesn't deserve to be part of that forum.
 
Where's the option for:

I don't visit the forum index because I bookmarked "New Posts" ?


I think New Members should be closed, as it's vastly under-used compared to other categories - and there are already too many categories.

In my opinion, this forum just makes it easier to get to 250 posts for people to access the Members Market :p

Yep - it's in the vBulletin options - One switch and done - And yes it makes sense. No idea why they haven't done it already :(
