Well done HSBC

I don't believe that you have no card, no account number and no way of using the funds which - we have to assume - you want to use to pay and still have available for car insurance.

I would believe the above if you have not contacted your bank to ask them so there's that caveat I suppose.

Quite surprised in this day and age you don't at least have one Credit card available just for emergencies.

You will be due some compensation for the down time they have caused you.

Don't forget to complain.

Oh no, its OK now I've ranted anonymously on the internet, I'm fine now, just gotta pop to my mums like a good little 12 year old so I can ask her if I can burrow her bank card to buy stuff on the internets

Would you believe I've been trying to avoid credit cards for the past 15 years, but it seems as you have stated I'm going to have to get one for emergencies

Did you still manage to get the 2 for 1 cinema tickets? I'm really on the edge about those

I used to get them through orange Wednesday, but now they have moved over to compare the market i have stopped. I blankly refuse to support any company affiliated with rodents.

Great, I knew this was the proper channel to follow with a rant.

I think I'm more concerned about their money laundering for drug cartels, terrorist groups and tax evasion activities.

I'm more concerned that I haven't been invited to join in the above as they sound more fun than the endless "Our ISAs are great, please buy one!" spam I get from Lloyds.

I had a letter from HSBC yesterday to say they were reducing the interest on my savings account from 0.25% to 0.08%. 30+ years customer. I was looking at moving anyway tbh but this has prompted me on a bit.

Stev, you're either describing an incident which doesn't make sense or your Bank have made some amazing mistake which is almost impossible to make.

Have you called them?

I have a long lost relative in Nigeria that could sort all of this out - he's a millionaire now apparently and all he needs is your bank account details.
