Very nice and I missed out on those mats too
Had a pants day at work last week, and to compensate I late-night impulse-bought a Monsgeek M1 as I'd seen a few YouTubers rave about them being great value for money. Wasn't expecting it for ages, but seven days later it's arrived from China. Coincidentally another pants day at work, so I promised myself a build when I'd finished. I used all the foams but not the included "tape mod" sheet, lubed up the stabilisers (which seem OK, and include PCB pads), force breaked the case. Finished it off with some Epomaker Flamingo linears and some ultra-cheap AliExpress keycaps. I'm really impressed- Sounds lovely and feels quite premium, especially the case finish.
It probably deserves better keycaps
Very nice and almost snap
With it coming from China did you end up with the domestic or international version?
Ha yes, working with Via is International. Reason I asked is I may consider it given it's ISO although I am hoping a UK supplier will get it in at some time.Oh good lord, I even have the same Koi keycap somewhere
It works with Via, at least the web version, so I guess it's International (as you can see, I did a lot of research before buying.... not!)
Interested to know more..Just placed an order for some Geon Black linears, heard they were similar to Zaku's and are basically recolours. Will found out shortly!

Arriving tomorrow hopefully so will post my results in here.
On the other hand having used Honeycombs for a few weeks now, i still feel like they are inconsistent. I dont know if its the factory lubing that's causing it but the bottom out feels weird on some switches. Almost like im hitting a cushion of air. Some switches are loud where as others are rather muted so overall it gives a really inconsistent sound profile and feel.
I'm using completely stock without lubing them incase anyone is wondering. To lube these now i would have to get rid of any factory lube before i begin and i just cba tbh.
I've moved over to using L+F Blue Bubblegums (they come unlubed, or at least v1 did) and it took me a day or so but very much used to them now and like it. They're not too different from the Oil kings given they're an Ink bottom but, just enough to notice. More of a muted, marble sound.
Although I still can't get my spacebar sounding better. Probably something to do with the stabs.
A little rattly? Less deep than the rest of the keys? Hard to explain. I'll see about a video.Got a vide of your spacebar? Could be a number of things, including the caps themselves. What does it sound like or what is the issue with it?
